How counseling helps

Ever wonder where your life is going?

Life can be hard. If you feel confused, anxious or in conflict most of the time, something is out of balance.

Start where you are

Ongoing negative feelings about ourselves, other people and the world rob us of peace of mind. These feelings travel with us, so we can't outrun them.

If we want to feel differently, it makes sense to start precisely where we are, by learning to identify, explore, express and transform our emotional experiences. Knowing where we are comes before figuring out where we're going.

What do you want?

We are all on our own path, but it's OK to ask for support in sorting it out. For most people that begins with mindful self-reflection: locating, exploring and revamping your sense of yourself and what is possible in your world.

Most of us want to feel recognized and known in a way that lets us feel valued, appreciated and safe. When that connection is missing, it can feel like being stuck in depression or anxiety without knowing why.

"We do not learn from experience… we learn from reflecting on experience." — John Dewey

Anxiety, depression, grief and loss

Over time, anxiety, depression, grief and loss can leave us disenchanted with life, and further from our native potential for happiness and contentment. If you're ready to take the next step in changing your life experience, effective counseling can help.
