Couples therapy
We live in the shelter of each other
Irish proverb
If things feel tough right now
Maybe you keep having the same argument and can't find your way out. Or a new stress is pushing your relationship to the edge. Sometimes it's a decision that feels deadlocked, or a realization that you're drifting apart.
Your partner may be your greatest source of comfort as well as hurt. Unconsciously, you may be reaching to them for an attachment need that wasn't met when you were younger, and they're doing the same. You want to meet each other's needs, but you don't know how.
An active, supportive process
I draw from family systems theory, attachment theory, Dr. Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Most importantly, I'm here to understand your concerns as a couple and work toward solutions that matter to you.
I'm active in the therapy room, and I'll help you both feel supported and give you tools to reconnect.
